That's them. Not worse than anything. Basically just a fine. They are really just raising revenue.

I'll let you in on a little secret Chris. I didn't really get a speeding ticket. I was just fecking with people to see how they'd react. I got a ticket for no registration. The Secretary Of State in MI changed the process a month ago and I needed a piece of paperwork I've never needed before that I didn't have. I was going to have the dealer fax it over but they had to have an original. Nowhere on their website does it mention this.

I'm heading up to Christmas, MI in the U.P. for a week Feb12th. There are 11 of us so far. It's better riding during the week when the trails are a lot less crowded.

I live in the south so excuse my ignorance. How well do those things handle? Can you turn on a dime or is more like a yacht? How much snow do you have to have to ride on? How expensive are those things?

Stock they handle well. It really depends on conditions. You can change a lot of things just like a car to improve handling. If the trails are icy it's worse. They're on snow so they don't really turn on a dime but the steering is responsive. The deeper the snow the better the turning. Braking you have to be careful, if they're not studded (which mine aren't) it takes longer to stop.

The trails open after 4" of snow but that's not that much as any rocks, dirt clumps, branches will come through. 6" is much better. You really need a 2-3" hard packed base and then snow on top to have great conditions. They have groomers that smooth the trails out as they get beat up especially on weekends from the traffic.

They pretty much range from around $7k up to about $14k. Mine was $11k for the 800. Arctic Cat has an 1100 Turbo 4-stroke that is upwards of $14k. I didn't want the 4-stroke since it only has 11hp more but weighs 90lbs. more.

It is. My cousin's coming over Saturday with his camera. He had it mounted to the front of my other sled so I should be able to edit it pretty cool with me going by him.
