once I reached my mid 20's... alcohol made me feel worse. I still have an occasional (2-3 times per year) martini... but that's about it.

I quit drinking at 18 when I got into the bar/club business.
Didn't drink for 8 years and I have since lost the craving for alcohol.
I have 1 or 2 drinks (rye & ginger/gin & tonic) once every couple of weeks.

Congratulations on each milestone.

On a totally side note, it's great to be proud of your achievement. At the same time, I'd be very cautious about public announcements that can come back to haunt you later in life.
Bill and Bob saw the importance of anonymity decades ago before there was internet and message boards.

While it may not be a concern now, I've been through a few cases with folks that had their past shortcomings used against them many years later.
