That could very well be Shopped. I was at the first public flight of the F-22 at Edwards and got to talk to the test pilots for the program for over an hour. At the time they said a two seat version was planned for some limited roles. It was after that the program was killed as the F-35 was searching for money for their program, so it's a good chance it never happened.

I agree. Such an outstanding aircraft. I saw Max's demo show a bunch of times. Near the end of his run as Demo Pilot I asked him why the show didn't seem nearly as aggressive as it had been. He bluntly told me that they were showing far too much of the airframe's capability by doing the old show. Around the same time pretty much every video of the older shows vanished off the internet too. The original demo was mind-blowing. Airplanes aren't supposed to do that.
