Victory Gardens
Been harvesting asparagus the last couple of weeks and getting ready to plant other stuff for the year. Trying to become self sufficient but realize the value of labor specialization and group effort. As such, been joining folks in my town at our local farmer’s market the last couple of years.
Anyone doing similar? Not trying to be a doom & gloom guy but seems like life is getting weirder by the day in our nation. Here’s an area that pays big dividends now and will be especially valuable if things continue to worsen. Great primer article below. “The Fascinating History of the Victory Garden and How to Create One Today“ https://morningchores.com/victory-garden/ |

My sis is now close to age 90, and so her hubby's family was into all that planting/gardening and had 40 acres to do it on.....back in the 50's when they bought the farm....he was a WW2 commander and worked for the phone company after the war......I learned to drive on a WW2 General's Jeep, complete with the white star on the hood, it was his form of a tractor, worked fine I was around age 13 or so....
