Good evening folks! What a shit day. I started throwing parts at the 63 again, and I'm still nowhere. I am pretty close to calling a tow truck and writing a check. Usually working on this car is soothing and calming, but this particular job has me throwing tools and making bad decisions.

[/Yeah I pretty much got to a stopping point when I broke off a bleed valve screw bolt then broke the extractor trying to fix that mistake. Luckily they are 2 bleed calipers and I can swap sides. A little Dremel work, JB Weld, and high temp silicone may keep me from having to buy another brake caliper.

Getting ready to plug in the smoker. Brisket will go on at midnight, shooting for 2pm tomorrow and a trip to the ice chest for a few hours. Gonna add some ribs, SMAC, garlic bread and a caesar. Freaking meat coma is in my future Fo sho!

Wanted a packer, but they were all over 25lb. Too big for my smoker. So, just a 12lb point. Mix of Cherry and Maple for the smoke. I've never been a great brisket guy, but then I've never given one 14 hours to develop. I'll try and get some Q-TV shots as it moves along. Ribs will go in about 11am for a 3-2-1 smoke. SMAC will be the last hour or so, with a heavy dose of wood when it goes in.

Hste to burst your bubble but i wouldn't trust that repair.
Need to drill out the extractor then saw slots on that bleeder adapter (it's probably been loctite in unfortunately) and remove it, get another adapter and go again.
I've had miserable luck when calipers have been repaired that way before also. They overtighten the bleeders or have a sealer on them and they snap the adapter off. Probably take 2 hrs to remove the broken stuff i figure.
