My friend and co-worker who ran the Americas while I ran global and key program was at a group meeting where I haven’t seen him (we talked daily) in 3 months. Meeting was in his home town. He went home and the next day was supposed to be wrap up and by noon he and his family were going to Disneyland. Well while taking a shower that night he heart attacked and poof, like that he was gone.

I retired per a plan with mgmt at 55, 8 years ago. RIP Neil

Very sorry to hear.
I lost one best friend in 2007 at 52. Another in 2009 at 44. One brother (and best friend) in 2021 at 58.
Three years til I can retire.

I was really surprised when you gave me the news. She was an absolute doll and pleasure to be around.
Truly awful when people leave us when it seems they should have years left to enjoy the world.

On a side note, I'll try my best to stay healthy. You gotta have at least one ham-n-egger to teach at the track. And, who else would you dissect scotches with?

Little let down by my club members today, because I needed help, but I successfully reclaimed our 3 trailers, her BRZ (with my parts), but it took me 7 hours all by myself. Our club has 12 members. Not a happy camper at the moment. We'll be meeting Monday night at 6:30 for next steps, but it sucked nobody was available, and they had advance notice.

I did gain possession of Becky's 3 helmets. I plan on making a shrine out of them, maybe one or two in my office, and one in our race trailer. I can only have these trailers here till Monday, and I'm making arrangements with our airstrip to temporarily host our equipment (hopefully till our first weekend back on 3/18-19) and then we'll have to find a permanent storage solution. Trailer overdue for a wash and wax, that'll happen tomorrow.

This has been a suck job to the nth degree for sure.

So sorry to hear of Becky's passing. I couldn't believe it when Alan told me

Thank you, for giving me the opportunity to talk with her, learn from her and get to know her. She truly was a beautiful person. She will be missed by many. We did a lot of calls, sometimes even it was what we sere suppose to be doing but most of the times we chatted about the love we have/had for our dogs and shared some autocrossing stories. She was a beautiful soul.

Spent another massive amount of time helping clean out her place. I did find our race club's laptops...still have to figure out one of the passwords. I found the shocks, swaybar, and the brand new set of tires that I bought for her BRZ, so my $5k investment in her car is now more in my control.

Once I got home, I spent a ton of time trying to clean our club trailer. It was way overdue. Patty wants something to do, so she's gonna finish the detailing of the trailer in the next few days. I only got 2 panels done.
