Damn, I'm away a few hours and come online to find hell has frozen over. Well maybe the Texans can use this as winter training when they invade canuckistan to liberate the ice bound puzzies.

The southern Sacramento Mountains are gorgeous....and about an hour away.

This is at Upper Karr Canyon near Cloudcroft last summer dragging around my portable dawghaus.

Right now, the only thing driving around in that area is snowmobiles. They plow the highways, but that area is 9600' up. The snow would be up to the doors.

My sister , her husband and my mother and father all live in Corpus Christi. From the pictures they have sent it doesn't look as nice as where you live...Just sand , sand, and more sand with a palm tree every once in awhile.....WW

El Paso is all sand and desert. There is a mountain that runs down the middle of the city, but just desert vegetation on it (well, it's covered with snow at the moment). An hour north of me is the Lincoln National Forest. Three hours to the west is the Gila Wilderness. The proximity to the forests is one of the reasons I stay here.

If he said "You lay there not moving, like you're dead" it doesn't mean quite the same thing

No snow here but colder than a witches tit in a brass bra.
