1st, I hope you are doing well. Or better. Our health is what really matters. And like it or not, I prayed for you...and added you to our prayer request at our church. Do know others are praying for "my internet lawyer friend" as well.

2nd, there doesn't seem to be any room here anymore for real current event conversation. It's become all trolling and sarcasm. And sure, some of it is humorous. But non stop in every thread where others are wanting real opinion gets old.

On the OP issue of the flag. The whole thing is stooped. Once again the media and the left are stirring up chit because they have no constructive answers to ANY issues facing the American people. Total lack of leadership. Sadly.

They are the First National Confederate Flag, commonly preferred to as the "Stars and Bars;" the second flag is the Second National Confederate Flag, more commonly known as the "Stainless Banner;" and the last flag standing is the Third National Confederate Flag.

About 90 minutes after the battle flag was removed, about a half dozen workers removed those remaining flags. The workers did not answer questions.

The view of the flags on the huge monument has been obstructed by the heavy trees at the site which is just at the bottom of the steps leading to the main doors of the Capitol's north entrance and is surrounded by a wrought iron fence. It is a very short walk from the governor's office.

The cornerstone of the Confederate monument was laid by Jefferson Davis, president of the CSA (Confederate States of America) on April 29, 1880.

After the flags were removed, a protester carrying a Confederate flag showed up at the monument.

"If you don't change people's hearts, changing a flag won't do anything toward racism," said Mike Williams of the Sons of Confederate Veterans.

The head of the National Park Service ordered Confed. battle flag items to be removed from the gift shop of every park yesterday.

This Army of Northern Virginia flag was used for troops during battle to form and guide on. We follow Gilham's or Hardee's (Heavy Infantry) manual of arms in our reenactments. You constantly here - 'Guide on the colors', 'Form on the colors', 'dress your line on the colors', etc...that is all and the only thing the flag represented during the war. Hate groups, rednecks, etc...did misuse it over the years. They also used the American flag. There are plenty of pics of the KKK using the American flag. Guess which pictures the media propaganda machine ALWAYS chooses to show.....

My issue with it is they should put it up for a public vote. They are only doing this because of a minority group. What ever happened to majority rules? This crap started back in the early '90s. It has been brought up for vote before and guess what happened...it was left alone or a compromise reached. The push button Indian governor of SC and the media started all this crap. She hasn't a clue about history, heritage or patriotism. Just another stupid politician looking for minority votes.
