I have no way to recall who reads what/where so I bore myself by typing this for the 10000th time.....

I grew up in the DC region......I remember Dad coming home one time, long about '1956 when I was about 12 y/o.....thought he was pissed at ME, in the kitchen talking to Mom.....I hear down the hall as I turned down the sound on the TV howdy doodie was playing.....he was SMOKING MAD, talking LOUD that he would not pay the bastard....referring to someone on the HILL about a health insurance plan he had put in for open bid/enrollment for the Dept of Interior...read parks and such......the crook on the hill was going to not allow Dad's insurance plan to go through unless Dad paid the bastard....Dad refused...and of course the plan was not approved for open enrollment.....


At Dad's funeral long ago, many years later, I was asked to say a few words at the memorial dinner in the church basement, across the street from the Vice President's house off Mass ave NW DC...btw......I looked out not knowing what to say, and spotted Gus and Johnny's wife Ingrid.....and recalled that bastard on the hill.....and basically said.....Gus, Johnny and Dad were the last honest people in the whole damn town......the audience just GASPED!!!!! I sat down.......

AND after my above post.....almost ten years ago, my kids were on the street looking for work, and inquired about joining the .mil outta college and so to be occifers......after training of course....

I thought about it for a second or two and had to say do NOT do that, and explained why.....

because the totally corrupt .gov 'leadership' in DC has spent the best of our young kids in TWO wars of a total loss....KOREA, and Viet Nam....for WHAT?? just what did all those lives lost what was the GAIN???
