Chicken Wontons
2 lb chicken breast
1 bundle of scallions 1 pack of Philly cream cheese 1 pack of wonton shells Sesame Oil Grill the chicken breasts. I usually use the strips as they are thinner and cook faster. Shred the chicken into very small pieces Cut up the scallions into small pieces Mix the chicken, scallions, and about three ounces of the sesame oil with about four ounces of Philadelphia cream cheese in a bowl. This is now the wonton stuffing. Stuff the wontons. I like mine hot so I also add some tobasco. My wife doesn't so I leave it out of hers. Frying these is the tricky part. You can do it on the stove in a wok, I prefer a deep fryer. Stove method will be trial and error. If you have a fryer, set it to 375. The wontons only take about 2.5 - 3 minutes to cook. I then serve with rice and soy sauce. My wife likes to make her own sauce consisting of mixing crushed red pepper, soy sauce, sesame oil and orange juice. |
