So 5000 have died from covid this year in NC, to be fair number I'm sure is lower so for you fuktards that argue about it lets say 2500(more like 3500 I'd say). The total flu deaths for last 10 years was 1500 total. So yea this kung flu is exactly like the flu and we shouldn't take any precautions or be concerned for our families as nobody dies from it anymore than the regular flu.
In 120 months 1500k died, in 9 months 2500k plus have died.
Numbers don't lie.

You do realize you are both wrong.....

So at what death count does it become okay to have mask mandates and restrictions on stuff?
You're apparently the smartest guy here so number up. 10k, 20k, 50k.

Or do you just not give a shit who dies as long not someone close to you. Just asking for clarity. Oh that's right only been old people who were gonna die anyway have died, I'm sure they're thrilled to die early because people are stupid and have taken little precautions.

So those of you who may/have gotten the kung flu and ignored any warnings or took zero precautions will you feel guilty when you give to or kill someone else?

I’m okay with the way he is. It’s better this than “why didn’t they do more? Everyone I know is dead”

I look at it this way. If you’re having 8 people for dinner but possibly 12, do you prepare enough food for 8....or 12.

Erring on the side of caution is never a bad thing.

At what count do we do what we've always done and tell vulnerable people to stay home, instead of telling everyone over the age of 2 to wear masks? At what count is it worth bankrupting thousands of businesses, putting millions of people out of work and denying basic medical care to millions of people? At what count is it acceptable to close schools and deny children a year (at least so far) an education?

Look, I don't really give a shit about masks. I wear one when it's required. I DO care about those other things. As unsavory as it sounds, society must put a value on a human life because we don't have unlimited amounts of money. So far the response in the U.S. has cost trillions of dollars, and it's still going. "It's worth it if it saves one life" is one of the most idiotic things anybody can possibly say.

What about the additional 10,000 to 30,000 people in the U.S. who will die from cancer because they were denied treatment due to COVID? Is that okay too?

Last year about 2.9 million people died in the U.S. This year about 2.9 million people will die. We've destroyed businesses and peoples' lives and spent trillions of dollars to reduce the total death count by ZERO. Does that make any sense at all?

[murraT] Lots more people would have died without the restrictions. I believe that but don't have any facts or evidence to back it up. [/murraT]

Think about that statement a little bit, and let us know if you really believe it. I suspect you don't because if you did you wouldn't have much of a life.

If you really do believe it, I'm sure you never drive over 5 kph, because that errs on the side of safety, right?

Wait, what, you don't always err on the side of safety but everybody else should? Huh, imagine that.

It can be when the cure is worse than the disease. If you were the owner of a restaurant or gym in an affected area, you might rethink this. Either that, or you’d rather lose your life savings and your livelihood on the infinitesimal chance you *might* die.

I’d take my chances with Covid.
