Default Bedbugs, anyone?? ever??

Age 76 here, heard the name/term, but never dealt with them.....

and so it seems we been invaded with the damn things....before we realized WTF was going on, it seems our bed and lounge chairs were invaded, to chairs to the curb, and rugs sprayed, washed dried in sunlight.....and clothing/etc washed......even took the cloth off the 'box springs'...nothing but wood framing and sprayed hell outta everything, letting it soak in under sunlight.....the mattress is new and mainly white....so sprayed hell outta it and let it be, twice.....

got a new lounge chair, my location been sprayed and powdered down but good......

they still around......so what is the solution except burn the house down, needs a damn roof, anyway.....

They have been flaring badly around the country the last couple of years, somebody on CF got them at upscale hotel and man ate him up.
The treatment the use is to super heat the house and it kills them, might want to look into it.
Totally sucks man, good luck.

There is an alternative.

They bring in big fans/heaters and seal up the house, not sure for how long.
I'd say google it but frankly there's some really nasty videos of houses being treated and you may barf and torch ypur house instead.
Google said 118 degrees for 90 minutes minimum and kills everything including the eggs.

One of the apartments on the lower floor of my son's building got infested. They had to remove all fabric and paper from every apartment on both floors and nuke the whole building to eradicate them. All fabrics kept had to be washed and dried at the highest temps possible.
I have read before the little fukkers can go year without eating.

When one of my employees had them, she was told they even get into electronics and outlet covers.

There's a company that treats bed bugs in Houston with forced, hot air, and they have a black lab that supposedly can sniff them out so they know if the treatment is successful.

Gene normally I'd say pest control is a do it yourself job but bed bugs seem like a pro job....you'll need specialized equipment....hire this done. I'm sure it will be expensive but cheaper than tossing out your mattresses couches etc.

Wife and I had a run in with bed bugs on our honeymoon. We went to the Wilderness At the Smokies resort for our honeymoon and after the first night, we both woke up the next day with lumps all over my back and my wifes legs.

We knew we had not been anywhere other than the pool the previous day so we pulled back the fitted sheets and found bed bugs everywhere. We immediately alerted the staff and a manager came up to handle the situation.

They ended up moving us to a very nice room, took all of our clothes and put them in some sort of a heating chamber to kill all of the bugs that might have found their way into our luggage, then had all of our clothes laundered, then comped our stay as well as all meals and expenses while we were still there.

They handled the situation fine, but we will not go back there nor would I recommend any of their dining establishments on the property.

Yeah that was nice of them for sure but that place would be off my list forever. Last time I went to Vegas I took sheets off the bed first before anything and checked all the seams and piping....never put suitcase on the floor...use the rack or bathtub.

I carry a very powerful LED flashlight for exactly this reason, and the first thing I do at any hotel I stay at is rip off the sheets and pull up the mattress to check for bed bugs. It really doesn’t matter how nice the hotel is, any hotel can get them.
