Happened to my '03 ZR2 mechanical it was perfect but the body gave out in '15.

The 04 Ranger is still going strong and in fact the A/C in the truck (still factory everything including freon charge) cools instantly after startup even on 100 degree days like today. The 2019 Mustang needs about 5 minutes before shit cools down at all!

Our cars are eleven (186k Murano), twenty one (115k I30) thirty two (124k Dodge Ram), and thirty five years old (92k Thunderbird Turbo Coupe).
No car payment since 1995.
