As far as I am concerned it is not a vaccine, it is a different kind of flu shot I can see getting all the vaccines we got as kids for smallpox,polio etc but what's next ? Need to carry around flu shot papers now ?

I got the J&J vaccine on Wednesday. I finally chose to get it as it didn’t seem to hurt our President (Trump) when he got his and who suggested we also get it to get on with life after the China flu nightmare. It was entirely designed on his watch. Biden and our lib governor had precisely zero affect on my decision - in fact, it had the opposite effect, holding out on the fence for weeks. Even moreso, that article (attached) about how 78% of COVID infectees have had a change or damage to their heart. (involuntary change of heart - pun intended I guess). I don’t want that as my normally healthy/non-smoker parents both eventually succumbed to congestive heart failure which was hard to watch/support.

And, I chose the J&J because I hate hypodermic needles, so it had to be ‘one and done’. There is a ‘vaccine-finder’ website that shows what local pharmacies carry which brand of vaccine (I surprisingly ended up at a Walmart pharmacy when they popped up in Google because their appointment website was actually easy. If you want the single-stick J&J just tell them as Moderna, with it’s double vaccine requirement was their default/go-to brand until I stipulated it. She said they had enough stock of all (3) optional brands on hand and was surprised by their pleasantness and professionalism for unapologetic needle wimps like me. To be honest, I was ready and half-hopeful to walk out the door and consider it divine intervention if ANY part of the process had a significant hiccup.

That said, I heard all of those stories about people not even feeling the vaccination er needles. Bull. I definitely felt the needle followed by the vaccine stuff she injected. Plan to chill out the rest of the day. It took 3, maybe 4 seconds for the sitting, but you have, or at least I did, a sense of feeling violated. And, I couldn’t sleep on the affected arm that night.

As a previous poster also said, I do not plan to tell anyone who I know (except immediate family) that I did it as it is nobody’s business.
