And I promise, the deaths are FAR UNDERreported, despite the conspiracy theories to state otherwise. In our town, many unattended home deaths because people didn't or couldn't seek medical attention. Authorities called out on "odor" call AKA > decomp. These are ACTUAL cases my husbands detectives have to work, not conspiracy made up news BS.

Of course distancing works. That's why the states allowing fans are limiting it to 25% or so of the stadium's capacity. It seems to have worked well for months, yet NY didn't allow any fans until it's a playoff game AND the Governor wants to attend, then 9% capacity is okey dokey.

Some additional perspective: The daily US mortality rate for smoking-related deaths is far greater than from COVID, and yet smoking is completely legal and the US and state governments rake in untold amounts of tax money. We could save 500,000 lives EVERY SINGLE YEAR, not just one year, by simply banning smoking, yet we don't do that. Why not? But, move along, nothing to see here because COVID deaths bad, smoking deaths okay.

I don't know if COVID deaths are under or over reported. I do know that the US is on track to have ~3 million people die in 2020 - the exact same number as in previous years. Huh, imagine that.

Approximately half of the COVID deaths in the US have been people over the age of 80 in long-term care facilities. How many of them would have died this year without the pandemic? Things that make you go hmmmmm...
