We could declare force majeure and stop borrowing money to give away as foreign aid and find out exactly who are allies are, really.

Would we still be friends with Egypt? Israel? Or is that deep friendship conditional on us paying them off. I'd like to find out that answer.

But beyond that, how stupid is it to pay Israel to destroy Gaza, then pay money to aid Gaza, and, spoiler alert, guess who will be paying to rebuild it when this is over.

We should stop paying everyone in the region completely, then let them do whatever they're going to do ON THEIR OWN DIMES.
