Guestimates on power from the following setup...?
Taking a more subtle approach with the 2003 vert. Allready put on a Halltech Venom and some Corsa Extremes. Next up is a 2003 Z06 h-pipe w/ a Corsa x-pipe, then time to hit the rollers. The Z06 h-pipe has 2 higher flow cats vs. the 4 on the coupe/vert h-pipe. Plus, the stock H crossover is a joke... if you cut a factory h-pipe apart you'll see a dime size hole when from the outside it appears as a full 2.5" crossover.
Considering the upgrades the 2001+ LS1 received I'm thinking the aformentioned mods should get at least 330 rwhp, if not a few more, w/o any tuning. If the AFR shows power can be gained w/ a tune then I'll do that as well. If I can get the car to 340ish rwhp w/o headers I think that'd be pretty neat. After that most likely a set of 3.90s are in order to get the gearing on par w/ the Z06. Thoughts? -Brian

The modding has begun.
Stock trim, you should be putting down about 312-315 RWHP. Freer flowing exhaust, will get you 2-4, CAI another 7-8. Might get you in the 330 range. Interested to see the numbers without tuning.

GM High-Tech tested a Magnaflow catback back to back vs. the craptacular stockers and got 15 rwhp on an auto. I think the exhaust may be worth a good bit more on the standard coupe/vert vs. the Z06 Ti which supports 700+ horse.
Car feels strong w/ the halltech installed... has more low end than my Z06, but over 4k the Z06 would still run away... but it has 100 rwhp more and better gearing so that's to be expected. My motto is that cheap modding doesn't count as modding

15 on the Magnaflow. Dang, that's pretty sweet.
I need to have mine dynod. Vortex Rammer, pacesetter shorties, borla stinger catback. Before the nitrous, that is.

A buddy's '98 with similar mods made 322 rwhp, but dynos are just tools... different days and different dynos can yeild varying results.

It's good to have a baseline though.

You going to put the stock headers off the Z on there as well?

They're the same part... all 2001+ Corvettes have the same manifolds.
