Morning everyone!

Sorry to hear that Carl. Did you do any warm up? My friend Randy is in his mid 50's and a Sifi in Wing Chung Gung Fu. He's in amazing shape. I wish I had the dedication it takes to do a martial art. Randy is the one in black. Is this similar to what you do? I'm not familiar with the various types of martial arts.

Sounds like a complete tear. I did the same thing to my knee a couple of years ago. BUT, if it popped then you may have a dislocated bone in the joint if there was no immediate pain. Get ex-rays right away, because if it is a ligament, they will shrink up and can't be reattached. If it's an out of place bone they may be able to pop it back into place.

I'm going for ex-rays on my knee next week, and I left it way too long.

I did warm up, but then I did a really high back kick that I haven't done in years. At full extension, there was a loud pop and pain.

No one would ever guess your friend (in black) is that old.

I have been doing several styles of martial arts on and off for 45-years now, but no Wing Chung Gung Fu. Of course a lot of the different martial art styles is simply variations on the same basic moves.

little demo today, about 20 floor tiles to come up. then run some errands (tomorrow too). will demo lower drywall monday, that will let me get to electrical and plumbing and fix those as needed.

just finished chipping up floor tile. ugh.

next is remove some drywall, redo some wiring and plumbing (just want to neaten up the stubouts for the sink), replace drywall, mud/tape/prime/paint, then the next set of cabinets go in, and then we can get the templating done for the counters. next set of pics in about a week or so.
