I fired a staff from one of my Jobs, while I didn't have the authority to do so, I listened to the partner bitch at me for doing so, and insisted I was the person accountable for profitability on the job it had to be done, and promised I wouldn't do it again without consulting first.

Well, they sent the kid to another job, with the same result, so my office sent him to another office where he was finally officially fired.

He is a 25 year veteran employee and I am not even allowed to bring his name up anymore.

He is going deaf and refuses to wear his hearing aids. As a result everyone on this floor hears all of his phone conversations.

Last week I had my train of thought interrupted by him observing: "Well, that's Murphy's Law. If something's gonna go wrong, it'll go wrong!"

I'm out on a job site building a gas plant. I have three guys working for me out here one direct hand and two contract hands. The direct hand does whatever I ask of him. The one contract hand is doing all my cad work for me. My only issue with him is his God damn I phone. The other guy who is friends with my boss back at the office is as useless as a real **** in a lesbian orgy. I was back in the office last Friday and made management very aware of my thoughts. I was told that the man power curve required that I keep him out here.

I've always just fired them, one of the beauties of being self-employed. I even fired someone who didn't work for me. I was going through the McD's drive-thru, and it was backed up for 30+ cars. When I got to the window, I saw why: The guy taking orders couldn't work the order machine or even operate the cash register. He had every order wrong, and they were having to coreect them at the next window.

I told the guy, "WTF is wrong with you??? You're fired! Get outta here!". And he left! I saw him leave and get into his car.
