For all of you holding out due to cost, this one might be worth seeing on the big screen.

The Martian reached and exceeded the goals set by Gravity. It made Gravity seem like a college film/screenplay project.

I liked Interstellar more, Martian was good, but I also found it somewhat... forgettable. When I left Interstellar, I found myself thinking about what I had seen, with the Martian, I was two plus hours of entertainment, and that was all.

Amazing book. I read it well before the movie was announced. Both my wife and daughter have read it as well. I thought it would make an amazing movie as I read it. I'm thrilled it's getting such good reviews.

Have tickets for the movie tonight. Can't wait.

I have one complaint.

Highlight to read: Guy is in WAY too good of a mood the whole time.

Otherwise, awesome movie. Best Mars movie ever, and easily in the top 5 real-sci-fi films.

Having grown up at and around NASA, I typically avoid all space movies just because they're too ridiculous to be enjoyable. How much suspension of disbelief is required to actually enjoy the movie.
