I've never heard this story, amazing that he didn't get promoted but got punished for his actions.

TLR Russ McLean didn't tell anyone that the Corvette was canceled but his wife, he kept the development going and was able to launch the C5. He was passed up for promotions for not being a team player and left the Corvette team and GM all together.

The Sunbird, the Cimarron, and the Cavalier just for a coupla/three more. All beauts, I gotta say.

I dated a lady around 2000 that had a 1994 Sunbird. Cars were nothing more than A to B for her. Yet, she didn't treat it horrible. It was a prime piece of engineering wonder. I wondered how a dash could split vertically where the radio met the gauge cluster. So, a six year old car doing that shit...wow.

I'll go further about the shitty Cimarron too.

Oh yea, GM presented a bunch of craptacular vehicles in the past and I'd venture to say there's a couple around at present time. Hey, how's those ignitions?
They dug a huge hole with me but have started to dig out somewhat. The CTS I've had for a rental and it was far from the underwhelming shit boxes of past. I've also driven Chevy diesel pickups and been impressed. However, the two vehicles were all new and I didn't drive them long term. And last but not least, the Vette. 400+ ponies from the factory and handles pretty well? That's not bad...not bad at all.
