Go read interviews with engineers from JPL, or astronauts about the novel.

And then read their reviews of the movie.

Per the engineers and astronauts, they cannot figure out how the author, Andy Weir, figured all the stuff out without an insider at NASA. The math is right. The science is right. There's a lot of "luck", but nothing that requires complete suspension of disbelief.

He did most of it based on research on Google. He did get some help from others as he was writing, because he was posting it chapter by chapter online. He didn't plan on it becoming something so big.

Definitely see it.

We literally just got home from the movie. We all loved it. We have all read the book. We are undecided as to whether or not it would be better to read the book before or after the movie. Having read the book some of the suspense in the movie isn't as impactful, but I still think it was better to have read the book and experienced the suspense there first. But I'm not sure you could go "wrong."

I loved the book, got in on my Kindle app when it first came out, somehow stumbled on it. I want to see the movie but I've been so damn busy lately, hopefully later this week I can find time to catch it.

I would like to peep it (especially in IMAX format like I did "Gravity" but I can certainly wait for it to hit the Redbox kiosk.

I'm pretty sure this is one movie that really benefits from the big screen. No IMAX around here though, all we have is regular and 3D screens.

Have tickets for the movie tonight. Can't wait.

I read the book about three weeks ago. I couldn't put it down, finished it in two evenings.
The story of how Andy Weir went about writing it is almost as interesting as the book itself.
I have been wanting to see the movie, but haven't had the chance yet.

If you haven't watched it yet I highly recommend viewing the interview Adam Savage did with Andy Weir:

I peeped it last night. It was not as relentlessly fast-paced as Gravity and got bogged down in storyline about 3/4 in, but it's definitely more scientifically/technically accurate and conceptually thought-out. I give it 8.5 stars out of 10.

I'm having issues lately with movie theaters making sitting-ducks out of LAB's (law abiding citizens)... with their no CCW policy.

I really want to see this movie, but will probably wait until available via Netflix.

Another great interview, talking about the movie. Adam Savage and Andy Weir (again) along with astronaut Chris Hatfield;

I saw it on IMAX 3d and thought it was very good cool in 3d. I left the movie theater singing disco...
