Changing the plugs
Looks like the last time I dropped it off at the dealer to get worked on, they didn't change the plugs like I asked |

Now the question is , did you pay to have them changed.....
If you do it yourself you never have to worry about getting ripped off...WW |

And if you screw something up, you don't have to tow it back to get it corrected!

Ya I paid for them to do it when they were fixing the heads, that was last Christmas when the radiator blew out when I was going back home on leave. Took me about 6 hours to get them all changed out and reminded me of days when I was working on the EA-6B. A PITA but after it started back up and was running smoothly I felt better. Now it's time to crack a beer

6 hours, did you find the plugs? Thats a lot of time. Next time talk to Mike maybe, he let you borrow his DeLorean.

Did my plugs and wires last weekend, time wise about 4 hours but I was in no rush. Don't know how many mile were on the old ones but were the correct color for a good running engine and no fouled ones.

Why do you think they did not do it? How many miles? The dealer is going to put stock type delco plugs back in the car.

Because I gave them Bosch Platnums to put in, not AC/Delco's. The car ran smooth for about a month after I dropped it off so I didn't think anything about it untill last week when it started missing.

Possible mis-communication between the service writer and tech? Are the Delcos new and were you charged for them? It has to be noted on the repair order if using customer supplied parts because sometimes the dealer won't warranty them.
