Default Engineer or Boy Scout help
Want interchangeable options so will add a quick link for interchangeable swing options.

Which would you use for attachment to tree branch?

1) Will last forever and not have to worry about circumferential damage to limb, but will have to be WAY up on a ladder for install.




2) Will be able to install this one from the ground.








I want it to be really STRONG/safe and fun.

How does option one attach to a tree branch? Drill holes and bolt through branch? Lag bolts?

Number 2. Other one requires drilling through the limb and putting bolts all the way through. Water will get into those, eventually rotting the wood and rusting the bolts.

We’ll need video of you on the swing.

Golf ball in a bandana on string, pendulum swing said ball/string into tree (took a few tries to get proper branch location), decided on tow strap; Harbor Freight WAY cheaper than purchasing special rope/mounting items PLUS. Also picked up the quick links.

Threading the one end loop through the other (mid air) was the hardest part. Now to select and attach swing!


The grands are gonna love it!

Just remember, all tow straps are not the same. I’d be wary of a HF strap left out in the elements for an extended time.

It will be on that branch till the branch breaks or the strap fails.
