Use as many social media apps as you feel necessary to spread your personal info and demgraphics across the planet, closely followed by "targeted" marketing directed at you with messages and emails. So much fun...

TikTok to laugh, shake my head, see hot wimminz, and transfer personal data to China.

Instagram is rarely accessed by me.

Part of the problem.

You know you are just making Suckassburg and the like richer and more powerful. There are many ways to do everything you listed without social media which sells your freedom out to the most powerful libtards in Congress.

I keep hearing conservatives complain about censorship in social media but they continue to use these sites. I don't get it. The way to fight back is to close all your accounts now. If all conservitives did that today these sites would dry up and blow away.

Keep using them if you like but stop complaining when they censor you. After all that's what you signed up for.

I got banned from every other site besides this one, so I don't worry about all that anymore. Never did the main social media sites, though.

Companies pay huge money to advertise on FB, and even more for your private info for targeted advertising. If you have a FB account you help make him richer.

People have moved from craigslist to FB Marketplace. I like FB for that reason. I can also go there and get my war, car, collectables, motorcycles, etc..fix all in one place. No joining a dozen different forums to keep up with for each.

I do wonder how subject specific forums compare with FB these days?

How many new forums pop up vs FB groups?

How is the company VB that provides the software for forums like this doing biz. wise? Are they growing or going under?

Never understood the appeal for tiktok, IG or any of the others.

I am on Twitter, mostly for work. Facebook, mostly for family and friends. Both are intolerable.

It's not my money so I am not directly contributing to his wealth. Advertisers are...and those advertisers are not winning my business so it appears they are wasting their money.

Used IRC about 30 years ago (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Relay_Chat). That was fun while it lasted. Still exists but I don't know anyone who uses it since cell phone texting became a thing.

Hit the nail on the head, I'm a degreed Computer Scientist with 45 years in the industry many in IT security - no Facebook, Twitter or Instagram accounts and never had any. Car forums and the almost unavoidable Amazon.

None of you pests can bug or text me, phone is always OFF until I need it.
