Default C4 muffler delete

Considering going the muffler delete route on my '94. I'd like a little more sound but worried that may be too loud or have excessive drone on the interstate. Seen lots of videos of after but not any with a comparison together with stock. Anyone have a good comparison video of both? Maybe anyone live close to Chattanooga that has done this that I can hear in person?

Straight pipes?

I guess any 350 out there....

My 350 truck allowed air in some how (exhaust leak in system) and blew out the mufflers. They are still on there. Sounds pretty good

My 84 just has the cat, no mufflers and it isn't overly loud, just a healthy rumble. Driven it 15 years like that.

I ran a chambered exhaust on my 67' 427/435 before adding side pipes.
They are both chambered, (dimpled section), but the side pipes are louder.
I have no experience with either using cats, but the full length version was very mellow until full boil mode!

I ran my 94 like that for about 6-7 years and grew tired of it especially on the highway. I did have 3.54 gears though, so higher rpm. I ended up going corsa, nice sound and no drone

I still have the stock exhaust on my '96. I like quiet.

Do cut outs so you can have the best of both worlds.

Maybe poll your neighbors and see what they think. I personally like the cut out idea. You can go out and have fun without pissing off your neighbors.

Electric cutouts. Gives the option to run it partially open too. The wide open drone can be too much at times, or when you want to be a little less noticed.

I did it on my 96 LT4, it sounded great, nice rumble at low RPM, had a few people ask me what exhaust system I had thinking it was an aftermarket. No videos, sorry.

I would still have the cats so some noise suppression.
Stock gearing. RPM's on the interstate shouldn't be too bad just like to hear one first if possible.
Not really sweating the neighbors. I live out in the county. Only five houses on my street, and the closest one leaves at one a.m. for work
I considered the cut outs. May still go that route.

What is it about "drone" that people don't like? I love that constant tone of the exhaust. I remember back in the 80s, I had my 74 Charger on the road and a buddy had a 72 Satellite. Being nearly identical cars, when we'd follow each other there was this really odd switching from hearing his exhaust and mine like quadraphonic sound oscillating between the cars.
