Well got some really shocking news.


The guy in Charlotte, NC that was working on my 68 vette (which is still unfinished and in parts) passed away on Tuesday.


So, I am having to make an unexpected emergent trip to NC to gather things, load them in the trailer and haul my unfinished car back to OK.


My understanding is the car is painted, but none of the parts have been put back on the car. Interior has not been touched.

Not sure if it is feasible to mount while we are there or if best to wrap up and just bring home.


Needless to say, will be in NC likely next week. Just waiting on the word from his wife and buddy to head that way.

If anyone knows a good tire place in Charlotte, I need to get 4 new tires mounted on the trailer that is also still there.

We will probably use the vespa to tow.


My hubs Tundra can haul it, but my GOD the ashville mountain area is brutal!! I think we got like 5 miles to the gallon.

We really need a 2500 diesel to tow.....

Hey Nicole, pack the stuff up anc take home is the easist unfortunately. Rushing just gets stuff damaged.

Back in the North.. 12 hrs, wasn't too bad except traffic pretty heavy. 28 mpg this trip.
Arrived 430am, took a nap and edged sidewalks and mowed. Heading to store as fridge is empty...
