My wife's 2015 RAV4 has been very reliable, it's both her DD and the vehicle we take on trips. Zero engine/transmission/rear-end/suspension issues.

Stupid frivolous electronic crap fails however. Bottom of touch screen failing, and guess where every button you need to press to set a destination pops up ?

Stupid power lift tailgate sensor goes bad and stops closing thinking there's an obstruction in the way when there isn't. Guess how much harder it is to manually open and close it when it's outfitted with that feature?

I'm waiting for a recession to buy a new truck, and when I do it's a crew cab with a bench seat up front and a V8 and that's it. Not spending any money for additional electronics features that WILL fail.

Sounds good but doubt you will find anything new that is not loaded with electronic junk. Those auto engineers go out of their way to come up with as much useless stuff as they can. Why do they do that, its because they can.

Right! Even the smaller CX-30 has the cupholders in front of the shifter. I drive with the seat most of the way back, so the CX-5’s location isn’t too bad for me.

Exactly. I bought a beater for something cheap to daily drive, and its got heated seats, push button start, the touch screen radio for Bluetooth, tilt/telescopic steering wheel, backup camera, cruise, pw, pl, automatic.....it's got more shit than many of my older, nicer vehicles had.....and it's an econobox. Apparently, even hubcaps aren't that common anymore from what I see on the roads.

For shame. Did you have the Lloy'ds car mats installed yet?

Sounds like a personal problem.

No digital speedo in Lexus ES350. BMW 3GT does not automatically activate parking sensors unless in reverse.
