Default Liberals think we are sooo dumb...

After the Republican North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory vetoed a bill to test welfare recipients for drug abuse, the state legislature overruled his veto. The law went into effect.

On February 9, North Carolina released the results from their first round of drug testing. More than 7,600 people applied for the Work First program. 89 of them were tested for drugs. Out of those tested 21 were found to have illegal drugs in their system. That means only 0.3 percent of the total participant pool used drugs. The state and national average for drug use is around 8 percent.

Social workers asked applicants about their drug use.

They Forced All Welfare Recipients To Get Drug Tested In North Carolina. Here Are The Results… – AWM

Here's the problems: 21 out of 89 is almost 25%, not 0.3 %. Social workers "asked" applicants about their drug use...What answer would you expect other than, "No, not me. I'm clean." When the law says that applicants shall be tested for drug use, I don't think that means merely asking about drug use. Sheesh!

They mean "test" as in a test in school where you are asked a question and must answer for a grade. Also, failing is still a grade so they were tested, they got the answer wrong, but were in fact tested.

They got the .3% by dividing the 21 positive tests into the entire 7600 applicants even though they only tested 89 of them. Jeeze!

forget the welfare. Do it for food stamps. If 20% don't test positive for weed the first month if done randomly, I'll vote for hillary.

Facts show the higher the welfare rate the higher the crime rate. Welfare is not the root cause, it is the enabler of single mother households which are the root cause.
