Since she probably got everything and you got nothing, you should probably explain to her to get the carbon build up out of the tank. Best way I know is to soak a rag in kerosene, stuff it way down the filler neck, then light. It is guaranteed to get rid of the pesky carbon. We do want it to run correctly don't we? Should absolutely burn down the road.

Pretty good. Hood and trunk lid are pretty even also.

Yep. That’s how I wanted it, but I have a daughter so I faked being friendly. That cost me a girl friend who accused be of sleeping with the ex. Looking back, the relationship must not have been that good if that’s all it took to question my trust.

Lots of good info, http://camaros.org/
1st Gen 68's are hard to decode, as not much on the cowl or vin for 68'
Much can be added that was not original...........I have looked at many cars and added documentation to the above site
Unless you find the build sheet under the seat or on top of the gas tank.......a few holes here and there can help but its wide open
Go on a test drive and run the dog shit out of it, I always do

I think I've read every page on that damn site in the last week.

I'm heading up there tomorrow. I've got the dogs and I'm returning them as she was hospitalized for a week.

FC 1955 265 Powerglide, a/c - - car
FC 1957 283 Powerglide - 4 car
FC 1969 327 tur hydro trans. 235 2 B F

Interesting. You can see it was used in 1969/327/Camaro with auto trans. It's a Flint motor April, 11 - no year specified on the stamp. B=Impala F=Camaro

I doubt...anyone would have used a 55/57 block. They came close to installing a pretty correct motor into it. Just not numbers matching or original to the car...but, some effort to make it close.

Don't disagree, but I have seen stranger things......the engine block casting number will tell which one
She does look good
