100% fact. Most of the generation specific lack of content related issues are because all of the experienced Corvette folks come here after their ban. But because of their experience and near intimate knowledge, not a lot of questions get asked because most of the noobs are still at the other place.

Content is trying to surface here...we just need some noobs to begin asking questions. We also need Google to place VetteBarn near the top of the search results. LOL!

VB name. He came over and got scared of the CF complaints. So, he

I have not been banned yet but I have had a lot of warnings lately. I am
a little too independent for them.

I have wondered about the lack of activity in certain sections and I think you have the answer. A lot less Noobs here.

Anyway AUTOHOLIC, I was following along with your tire/wheel thread when you suddenly disappeared. That mystery is solved now. Question now is, did you end up ditching your 225/65's for 225/55-17's? And I thought I saw a comment you made regarding wheel backspacing of 4.25" but I can't find it on CF now.
I'm asking because I've ordered 17's and 225/55's for my '66. I never thought I'd do this and I'm sure I'll hate the look at first.
Just curious as to why you departed from the 4"BS and the 55 aspect ratio.
BTW, love your red coupe and glad to see that you haven't melted in the Arizona hot spell.

No, I kept the 225/65s. However I had to shave the backs of the fiberglass at the parking light area. You should be ok with the 55s.
I thought I would not like the 17s when I ordered them but I actually like them. Many more speed rating choices with them and the reason I didn’t go with 15s.

Yeah - the newbies gyrate to the CF because that's first & foremost in many searches. The problem is that the CF refugees are a lot of the expertise and so the new people on the CF get some really, REALLY bad info. Like some dolt recommending a later C2 headliner for installation in a split window. The 63 headliner is unique and only one source for a decent replacement.

You can't even help out through another member if you're banned, a pal quoted some advice to a new member over there from me to get him straightened out and was slapped with some arcane "proxy posting of a banned member" infraction. Its is indeed too bad this forum hasn't taken off as I had hoped.
