I spent many years in the Air Force, I have more flying time on me than some aircraft, and I still hate turbulence. I think it's the feeling of no control over what's going on. Another part is on many military aircraft, one can't see out. I have sat in the cockpit of military aircraft and that was better but I still had the feeling.
I once flew in a crop duster biplane, which the enclosed military six seater felt like, from Hill AFB in Utah to Nellis AFB in Vegas. I flew on a hot day in August with lots of thermals. When I got off the plane at Nellis, I wanted to kiss the ground. That was the closest to being in a washing machine I care for. We were going to fly back in the same aircraft and I was considering buying my own commercial ticket, however, plans changed and we got a flight back in a military Lear jet. Man, what a difference. I awoke when we landed.

Well, this morning at 4:35 am, I was praying to God I would not hit a tree while my vette skidded backwards after hitting a deer, fishtailing , and finally turning 180-170 degrees to leave the roadway and enter a wooded area.

That I'll wake up one day from a coma, only to find that the entire world now talks in MoSpeak. Lars has a lien on my home, and is forcing me to bring it up to Florida code. Empire carpets teamed up with Lloyd's mats - and all of my rooms are embroidered with my forum name and family crest, and the moulding has been replaced with large red piping. The US of A is now officially an ObamaNation, and Joecoooool is VP. SeaSix renewed my Barn Stall while I was sleeping, and I find out that he's been complaining and trying to sell it off to No0bs. Joebuck and UniqueDoug gave up on women, entered the Navy, and now have their own reality show called "Hope Floats."
