Pfadt has the best customer service on the planet. They will replace that part free of charge. The last time it broke, they replaced it too and FedEX'd it overnight, Saturday delivery, but I had the presence of mind to purchase a few extra "just in case". It paid off in spades I think.

Tomorrow's track is brutally fast and I should get FTD, at least in raw time. Had I not caught that broken piece it could have cost me a win.

PM me your address, I'll send it to you.

Hope you like the videos and the pictures. You did a great job taking shots of me running on the far end of the course. I'm sad the sun wasn't out.

I hear it's pretty easy to do if you just hit them the right way. I've never found that out personally though.

I have a new friend. Marcus is a class act.

And for you clowns that put him in the same boat as Joe for the King of the Unlaid, he's a good looking kid with a great head on his shoulders.

He's young, give him time.

Dad, if you're listening, I might suggest you try and put him into something competitive. He could be the next Jimmie Johnson.

If that happens, he'll get more tail than all of us on VB.

Congratulations Marcus, those are some impressive times! You've been a good sport to take all the ribbing here so well and play along with it.

Great job Marcus!

That run by Craig was crazy fast. I'd love be sitting in the car to experience how that feels. Looks intense.

Big to Craig for letting other people drive his car.

Big thumbs up for Marcus willing to whip out his checkbook to pay for the piece he broke.

Could have easily been me breaking it, but hat's off to him for stepping up to offer.

Marcus ran wicked fast. Finding those last 2.7 seconds is rough. His launch alone cost him 3/10ths. Not hitting his braking point in the 60 degree wall cost him a tenth.

He definitely has a much better time in him.

In this sport, finding the first 10 seconds is easy. Finding the last 2 seconds take years. Finding the final 10ths of a second is frustrating as shit.

The top drivers in this group are typically grouped around less than a half of a second, and we're talking 5 or 6 drivers.

Is this the same place the car almost hit the plane and landed on the stone pile?

I guess you ran a different way this time

Thanks loads. I am already hearing talk of converting the C5 to a dedicated track car and running as a father/son team. It would be him driving and me paying!

Yes, same venue. This course only utilized 1/2 of the airstrip. The rocks are at the far end, as seen in the photo with the plane in it.

We had to alter tomorrow's course due to the Sheriff's department leaving their cars on the edge of the runway.

If you are a complete idiot, and out of control, the rocks can play a role tomorrow. AND, they've added more rocks. We can still see the skid marks from the S2000 from when he hit. Now, the pile is much bigger and wider. Had it been that way when he hit, the car would have flipped and he would have likely not survived.

When he wrecked, only the front half of his car hit the rocks at a 90 degree angle. That launched the car into the mid-air spin, from which he walked away. The new pile is 2 feet taller than his car and would have hit him in the passenger door. It would not have ended well.
