I'm not exactly the biggest "kid guy", but last night a friend brought his 8-year-old daughter over. We had a few other people here too for dinner. She was awesome and hung with me while I was out at the grill making paella. She ate everything we gave her, including olives and feta cheese and shell fish. Then I set up the XBox Kinnects for her and let her have at it. It was actually fun having a kid around for a change, she's welcome anytime.

Some kids are good. Well behaved, cute, and well taken care of.

Then there's the other ones. You can clearly tell that mom (and if there's a dad) don't want them, don't take care of them, and let them wreak havoc.

IMHO, most small children are representations of their parents.
And this is not a good thing, in most cases.

Last wednesday, I volunteered at the Charter school where my wife teaches.
I was briefly asked to sub for a teacher that was hung up in traffic.
My face blanched.
My wife laughed.
I was put in a classroom with these little monsters:

Monsters: Whats yo name?
Me: Mr. Davis
Monsters: Is your wife Mrs. Davis across the hall?
Me: Yep
Monsters: She's mean to her kids!
Me: Let me give you a clue, kid. She's mean to me, too.
Monsters: ????????

I could not get away from those little advertisements for birth control fast enough.
