So apparently a screen name of "YT PWR" doesn't go over well at the bar.

Yeah, so my buddy and I are playing video poker using the PlayMaker system at the local watering hole near work during happy hour. I had a second account, so I set it up with an on-screen avatar of a dark-skinned indian guy with a pink shirt and big hair; but with a screen name of "YT PWR." The joke here should be obvious to anyone.

Well for about three hours, it was. White guys and black guys at the bar alike got a good laugh out of it. Not to mention that I was cleaning up for the first time ever and sitting on about $27,000 virtual.

But then, leave it to a white guy to feel some white guilt and get angry over perceived racism. Someone who I believe was the manager rolled up on us and angrily asked who had the screen name. I told him it was me, and he told me to change it. I pull out my phone and begin logging into the system to change my screen name. However, while doing this, I'm explaining my position and why it's a joke and not actual racism.

I also may have made mention how I thought the U.S. has freedom of speech. This set him off, and he angrily fired back with "yeah but we don't have racism." Of course I thought "WTF? Is he living in the same U.S. I am? " I mentioned how our next adoption is probably going to be a black kid, but apparently that's not good enough for him.

So he didn't like that my explanation didn't match his preconceived beliefs and he told us to pay up and leave. I guess one of his workers must have talked to him and cooled him down because he came back a few minutes later to retract the order, but I told him that it's cool and we'd leave anyway. The bartender apologized and mentioned that her boyfriend has the same kind of humor that I do. I got the impression that the manager (or whatever he was) is kind of a dick to them.

Good times. My one buddy (who's black) had previously been kicked out of another bar for having a gun (which is legal here). He thought it was funny.

If I am racist, it's only against white people. They are some whiny, easily offended f*cking babies.

If I go back, I'm trying to come up with a new name that'll piss him off without potentially being perceived as racist. So far I have:

What I need to do is get a phone capable of running Buzztime's app and log in with that, while also using one of their playmakers on my other account. So if someone rolls up again, I can point to my playmaker and be like "nope, that's not me, here's my screen name." That'll drive them nuts.
