and be sure you get a nice Barong (traditional men's dress shirt, worn untucked).

my dad went to the phillipines many years ago, got a Barong, the seamstress couldn't believe how big he was compared to the stock shirts they made, had to leave a dress shirt he had with him for the day so they could make one the same size.

We are getting ready to go out to a Jungle Disco tonight, but I will add it all up again and post the total later tonight.

Off the top of my head I am going to guess over $2300 now

Also if there are extra Toys left, we could drive to the next village over (only about a mile away) and drive around some through that village until we run out.


What do you all think? any ideas?

Since you asked. You have mentioned in the past the kids and some families do not have real food or enought of it. While I know kids love candy. maybe keep the leftover for a family fund for people hurting for food. Even if their conditions are not so hot a full belly goes a long way. JMHO or .02

concur. as i noted elsewhere, maybe keep some set aside for a rainy/snowy day fund, so you can help those in need during the year. could be making sure someone has a bag of rice until they get paid again, paying for some medical help as needed, or just having another party in a few months. you're the local expert, so you know what the needs are and how best to meet them. we're just the money senders.
