[PIC] Dad, I thought there was supposed to be food here?
Right...like I'd let Barkley guard Thanksgiving Dinner

Years ago when i was a kid, we had a GD named Duke who was a little smaller than Barkley, One moment the turkey was on the table when he walked by (during dinner) the next minute it was gone. I remember mom screaming, then crying because dinner was ruined and me laughing my ass off.

Before I met her, my wife had a Great Dane that stole a whole chicken off the table once.

Our first Australian Shepherd enjoyed a pan of Hamburger while my wife was hanging laundry. He always followed her outside, except when the burger was on the stove.
The look on my wife's face was priceless. The pan was licked clean, not a speck of meat or grease in it. The next night he ate the chicken we were going to have for Taco's. The dog was such a big goof you couldn't be upset with him. Pizza one night and BK the other night. Those were the only two times he snuck food like that. Our other Aussie used to come up to the table and lay his head in your lap and roll his eyes at you. Wouldn't beg or moan, bark or nothing. Just give you those big brown eyes. |
