1. A recycling factory makes its own paper cups for canteen use. It can make one cup from nine used ones. If it has 961 used cups. How many new ones can it possibly make?

2. In a supermarket, the first 25 customers of the day purchased an average of two items each. After a further 15 customers, the average number of items purchased by each customer rose to eight.

What was the average number of items purchased by the last 15 customers only?

4. Nigel and Angie named their child Megan, Simon and Gemma called theirs James, and Denis and Sonia named their child Cindy.

106 + 5 = 111: 12, with 3 left over

12+ 3 = 15: 1 with 6 left over.

106+12+1=119.
