Don't ever touch the edges of any vehicle with a machine or abrasive. Paint doesn't build up thickness on any edge. You can masking tape them off or use a smaller foam buffing pad for the flat areas on the panel. Just leave the edges and near the edge alone.

Many C2 Corvettes are judged by how sharp and fine that edge is on top of the quarter and fender panels. Idiots repainting them in the old days would hit them with a DA sander and ruin that fine edge.

I can do the C6Z, both wash and wax, in 1 hour flat. This thing took me 2.5 hours. A big part of that time is the water intrusion into the engine bay. Using the leaf blower, and then detailer to keep water spots from forming adds a lot of time. Also, while I love the looks of this car, it is SO MUCH busier, and thus much harder to wax.

Will provide further reviews when I get past the 500 break-in and can race it on September 18th. I'll be sure to buy a brand new, top of the line GoPro, and will have some cool racing videos.

Drove down 75 to Naples, and back up 41. Nearing 300 miles. Given the water intrusion into the engine bay deal, I'm less inclined to risk rain in this car than any of the others. I just don't want to add that extra work.

A seatbelt trick from a guy who moves his vehicle around a lot... if you think you will move it around the yard some before your next trip, simply latch the seat belt when you park it. That way the nannies are happy and so are you.

Imcan attest to this. My C2 looked like it had been squeezed out of a tube when we scraped off eight (count em) paint jobs. It took about 60 hours of work building them back up and making them straight.

Never have although I don’t tape it off either. When I get near an edge I stop. The worst panel on my truck is the damn hood. It’s got all kinds of dips and shit in it.

Not modifying the factory monitors. Any more will add weight. Weight bad for racing.

But, I just received a mechanical watch winder, that had I not read the instructions, I would have returned. I didn't have the watch loaded correctly, and the thing is not supposed to run 24/7. It does a set amount of rotations per day, and that's it. Good thing I did read the instructions.
