A New York City synagogue erupted into chaos Monday night after members refused to have a secret tunnel sealed off, according to CrownHeights.info.

Video footage of the incident circulated on Twitter, displaying a chaotic scene between Jewish synagogue members and New York Police Department (NYPD) officers. Shouting ensued as officers and members clashed, with some Jewish members appearing to flip tables and crossing over crime tape NYPD officers were behind.

Another shot displayed a member crawling out from what appears to be a hole connected to the synagogue, then walking out onto the NYC street.

Is it possible they are involved in child trafficking?
Or maybe it’s just an underground storage facility?

Not only that, the tunnels were built under the woman’s section:

…The tunnel allegedly extended from the Mikvah under the Kingston Ave women’s section of 770, where it exited into the building.

While details on the tunnel remain scarce, and with some rumors spreading, it appears that a group of bochurim began digging around six months ago in an attempt to “expand 770”.

According to NYPD, a chaotic scene ensued at the Chabad headquarters in Crown Heights, as Bochurim, refusing to leave the tunnels, engaged in learning activities within. The NYPD was promptly called to the scene to handle the situation.

“The incident below reportedly took place to prevent a cement truck from filling the tunnels. According to the Crown Heights Info, the tunnels were made in the past 6 months in an effort to expand 770,” tweeted Collin Rugg. This raises questions about the intent behind the tunnel construction and its connection to the revered 770 address.

Reports diverge on the timeline and motive behind the tunnels. Some sources suggest that the tunnels were dug during Covid-era lockdowns, either to facilitate entry during restricted periods or, more recently, to connect a ritual bath to the main building.

Other accounts propose that the Yeshiva men dug the tunnels during Covid lockdowns when they were allegedly locked out of 770. These tunnels are said to stretch from the Mikvah building to the women’s portion of 770. The discovery was prompted by residents hearing unusual activities “in” their homes, leading to a swift response and subsequent arrests.

As community leaders were called in to defuse the tense situation, the incident raises questions about the legality of the tunnel construction, the motivations behind its creation, and the response of both the Chabad Lubavitch community and law enforcement. This unexpected revelation now leaves the Chabad Lubavitch World Headquarters entangled in a controversy that demands thorough investigation and resolution.

Some of the cheapest most crooked people in town are Crown Heights and Williamsburg / Borough Park. They have their own economies with lenders, their own laws, and one thing that universal within the hasidic / orthodox is an overt disregard for authority or law. Oh, and hygiene.

Serious thought:

This episode could be used as a bridge builder, at least here in the US.

Jews to Muslims: "Hey, you guys like digging tunnels? So do we!"

Muslims: "Anybody that builds secret tunnels can't be all bad, right?"

This could be the beginning of healing that long fractured relationship, bonding over what they have in common vs. only focusing on their differences.

Here's the thing, these clowns have made unpermitted, illegal modifications to NYC buildings - so if any of the building owners, don't reduce the estimates of the property values on loan applications they are committing fraud - that's how it works ? Right ?
