If I make a mistake in job or personal life, I beat myself up pretty hard so sleep during these times simply does't happen until I fix my error.

On the best of nights with nothing on my mind, I sleep maybe 5 hours without waking up... usually to piss.

I agree sleep is optional one day we will sleep forever so till then burn the house down...

Usually get about 4 hours of sleep a night. Every since my first deployment in 83 I have not been able to get longer than 5 hours maximum a night. All thru my career, while on ships, I didn't get more than 3-4 hours a night. Still to this day I usually get to bed around midnight and am up at 4 without the alarm clock going off. I don't feel tired or restless, just not needing the sleep. If I do sleep more than about 4 hours, I feel groggy and irritated.

Last night suked bug time... Doggo has been fighting stomach problem and had me up 5 or 6 times. Working on maybe 2 hrs sleep if string it all together. Gonna be a bad day tater.
