Default GM's new Corvette Signature Dealer Program

This is what it takes to be able to sell the new Corvette. We signed up yesterday, and it is a hefty sum of money.

It does include 2 days of having the new Corvette here on the lot before production begins, and also means I get to go to Spring Mountain and drive the new car.

You have to pay money to be allowed to sell a car? Won’t that cost get passed along to the happy buyer?

A big part of the problem is the stealerships treat Corvette buyers the same way they treat Sonic buyers. If the extra investment means that the dealer is motivated to provide a better Corvette ownership experience then it's worth it.

If Toni's stealership can't afford this, they're doing something wrong.

This is the program that isn't cheap.

After you're done paying for the extras, it is over $50,000. Just the Corvette display is $25,000 alone.

Not as much as it cost to sell a Ford GT, that was nearly $150,000. Nothing gets passed to the buyer, we don't set the MSRP.

There were a LOT more tools to buy than just $1500.

I didn't say we couldn't afford it. We are a very large dealer (Chevy, Buick, GMC, Ford, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram Dodge), but to pay over $50,000 just to have the chance to sell a Corvette is far more than what it used to cost. Previously you had to buy around $4000 worth of tools and that was it. We're doing program 2, and sending 2 techs, 2 sales people, 1 manager, and the GM.
