Default Got the MGB out of hibernation today

Got her cleaned up and out for the first official ride of the year. The first "unofficial" outing was a few weeks ago to get an inspection sticker.

It's always a work in progress, but there doesn't seem to be any unexpected problems after winter storage. Hopefully the weather will cooperate more this year than it did last summer....

My sis had a '66 MGB-GT. When it ran, it was a fun car to drive.

Oh yea, BRG of course

Don't like that color scheme?

Interior's changing to black & red--already redid the seats with red leather.

Don't want to jinx anything, so I won't say a word about how it's been running...

My dad had a '64. He'd always make one of the kids ride in the back. Cruel and inhumane punishment

My first car when I turned 16 was a 1973 MGB. Burnt Orange. I wish I still had it.

I love those little British sports cars.
Had a HS GF who had a Triumph Spitfire. Many good memories of that girl, she too was a little spitfire.

I had a Blue/blk ‘75, from ‘81-85.

What a horrible little pos! The dude I bought it from really screwed me….somehow he had it running fine. A day after I got the car home, the burning oil smoke started….Cars behind me would pull around screaming, get your muffler fixed! 😆

Not long I had to rebuild the 4 banger, but had absolutely no idea what I was doing. I did get it running drove 30 miles worked all day then on the way home she blew up on the PA Turnpike….when I got around to dropping the oil pan it was filled with metal debris…. Then the car sat til the old lady had enough gave it away for 100.00…..

Shortly after I bought this in 2020 and while I was still working all of the electrical gremlins out, the car died at a red light. Turns out the fuel pump relay had a bad connection.

I got out and started to push it to a parking space when a couple walks by on the sidewalk. The man ran over to help and when I thanked him he said "No problem, I know the drill--I used to own a Triumph."
