Yes to your question. The CBO scores lots of bills and the Govt always comes in over budget, scoring or not. I am one of the soon to be in minority that pays Federal Taxes. Our Govt's history has not had a major program like this stay in budget, I guess the Messiah waves his wand and this will stay in budget. Not going to happen, his first year in office and so far this year with his spending shows he has no budget. He must of never run a business.

Everything the Govt does is without any waste, none will be in this new bill. Do Not Tread On Me has new meaning to me as we lose more of our freedoms

My right to decide if I want to buy health insurance or not. No longer is this a choice, but a Govt demand or I will be fined. That has taken a step in the direction that I do not decide what I want but the govt decides for me. Big brother knows what I need better than I do.

CBO history has been like the govt's always under estimate the real $$ spent on a bill, again in our history what leads me to believe this will be the first time they are right. The specifics of what will be in the children's portion that will be in effect in a few months has not been hashed out, neither have the rates. Yes I do sell health care and have to stay in tune.

Once a week someone calls for there free health care, at first I was not happy. Now I love it, depending on where in Texas they live I now say this is your elected offical and office number, call them and ask the for the free health care. Quite a few are not happy with me here, but I did not pass this bill, I just pass on to them who really knows better about this new law than I do. Oh , that is right who reads 2700+ pages of trash that leads you all over the place.

I'll never understand people that buy car insurance because it is mandated by law & you can be fined & your driver's license revoked for not having it, but balk at the very same thing for health care. I'll never understand people that would seek to keep the USA from having health care for all citizens when the rest of the civilized world has had it for decades. even in a pizz ant nation like Cuba you are covered as a citizen. I'll never understand people who support the biggest monopoly of our time & it's glaring "in your face" raising of prices & cutting benefits & out right canceling of policies for things like "too fat....too skinny...too short" blah blah. I'll never understand people that can watch their health care costs go up & benefits decline year after year as CEO salaries rise alarmingly. the CEO of my insurance company [United Health Care] made $2,000 a minute last year. I mean, is it a wonder our plans are skyrocketing?? I guess I understand why you are opposed to health care reform. you are in the insurance biz.

Beck [along with others] is a big factor in the modern day Tea Party movement. people who named their movement after a tax revolt are protesting to the point of being on the border of insane [gun toting, spitting on people, name calling etc.] when we had the lowest taxes in America last year since the Truman administration. hello.... anybody home in those skulls??

Your talking points are old and no good.

If I choose not to drive or own a car then car insurance is not mandated. Under health care reform I will be required/mandated to have health insurance I no longer have a right to chose. Health care for all would be fine only one of many problems is not all pay for their health care so big government got to have more revenue to support all means$2000 minute CEO tax bill just went up. And don’t give me the under $250K your bill will be cut BS.

If you’re going to reform health care reform the damn system. Start by questioning who is setting guidelines/medical standards. Why has the diabetes threshold numbers been reduced? Could big pharmacy lobbied for the reduction to sell more drugs….. Just saying

the only people that don't have cars in our society are either in a rest home or can't afford to own one. even if they can't afford to own one as soon as they get a job they will be driving. I wanted to see Universal, Single Payer health care. I am fed up with $2,000 a minute crooks who profit from dying people. I say to hell with them. they had our business & they abused us to amass private fortunes. I would love nothing better than to see people who I consider no better than Bernie Madoff have to sell off their yachts, mansions & $3,000 hooker habits. of course, that didn't happen. what did happen was a watered down version of the original bill.

Are you talking Doctors or health insurance execs?

If Docs, you don't seem to have a lot a lot of respect for folks who kept their grades up through high school so they could get into 8 years of college and make daily decisions that affect whether other people live or die?

Health insurance stinks because of the lack of competition, not because it needs to be a single payer system. IF they had simplified a single national standard for coverage and a national pool for indigents covered by every private company they could have solved 90% of the issues and kept it from becoming the government disaster it will be in 5 years.

The other thing to do would be to require conversion of all medical insurance to be provided by mutual companies funded by members and having profits refunded to members rather than stockholders and board members. I'm a capitalist, but insurance should be for the public good and not profit motive.

the docs are caught right in the middle [as we are]

it has already become a "disaster"... it's an economic issue of drastic proportions. that's why the government had to do something. that it's a monopoly. I already mentioned that.

careful, now....you're starting to sound "socialist."

Nah - I was with State Farm back when they were a "mutual" company. When they made money we got a refund. It worked.

Insurance isn't something that should be done as a profit center. There's not a product or service to be bought and sold. It's simply a means to manage risk and beneficially support individuals across a large community pool. When the profit motive comes into play choices are made without basis as to risk or the community.

I don't disagree that something has to be done (I say "has to" because nothing gets done for 4 more years). But the Single Payer system isn't it. And just because the system needs repair and reinvention does not mean it needs to be run by the government. That will not fix it, but the Democrats have never been able to see past a government administered program as the only solution.

I think you're probably right about some of that, but I'd love to throw the fear of God into them SOB's & make them think that Single Payer is going to wipe them out for good. they deserve the anxiety. alas it didn't happen, but I think we may have gotten their attention.

I've had the PRC neocons ask me "why do you care how much a CEO makes? if you want to be a CEO, be one" I don't care how much any executive [or anyone else in the world] makes as long as it doesn't affect me. *this* affects me, when my benefits dwindle while my premium rises. same thing with the Wall Street bankers insane bonuses for putting our economy in the crapper. that affects me,too.
