The only way I would ever pay attention to this particular question would be if the roll was about done and I had to use it sparingly. Even then, I wouldn't count the squares.

Depends where I'm squatting. Here at home wifey buys cheap stuff which requires at least 3 folded sheets so the fingers stay clean. My parents buy some kind of supersize stuff which has ridges and is both large and thick enough so a single sheet suffices every time. Work paper requires approximately half a roll at a swipe.
