Did the Shane Watts Dirtwise school. IMHO, well worth doing. Some of the stuff seems lame, but he will make you a better rider.
Anyway, front tire washed out, bike caught my foot and my body twisted 180 degrees. My ankle took the brunt. It's broken. 6 weeks on crutches. No riding for a while

The downside of an affluent area is there are a bunch of bored rich kids driving around in Daddy's car drinking, doing drugs, and just generally being annoying. And of course the park is a giant magnet for that sort of activity. Plus all of the people walking their dogs like FLEX complains about.

Bought an '19 300, so I'm selling my '09 250. Keeping my '16 200 forever since I can't replace it. That's the bike that broke my ankle though

Yup, that's what happened to me. Not nearly to my knee, but well above my ankle. It looked frightening. Like I said, the nice PA lady took one look at that and said "you're going to be with us for a few days". She was right.

Was admitted and got released on Saturday afternoon. Almost 48 hours of pure hell. Too much to type.

I'll bet I can guess most of it. I also was admitted on Thursday, and got out Saturday afternoon.

I think the infection is under control the swelling is significantly reduced in my foot and my leg is back to normal except discoloration. My foot looks OK as long as I keep it elevated but as soon and I put it down it turns purple.


Pain is manageable now but still significant. I can't put my full weight on and am walking around on crutches. Went into the office for about 90 minutes yesterday and I was in agony by the time I got home.

Dude, seriously, I'm glad your pain is resolving, but I have been telling you for over a week to STAY THE **** OFF OF IT! You should not be going into the office either. Lay on the couch with your foot up basically every minute you aren't sleeping except to go to the bathroom. Do that for 2 weeks, I know the boredom is hell, and your foot will get better!

Also, get yourself some probiotics. The antibios wreck my stomach too, and I am still having some diarrhea in the mornings even taking them, but they do help.

I can't imagine how many other people like me are suffering needlessly because of this bullshit lockdown.

Starting yesterday, we can go see a Dr. in NJ now. I have an eye doctor appointment tomorrow, blood work on the 10th, and will see my regular doc on the 19th. It literally took 3 weeks to set up those three appointments.
