Default When your wife uses tools

Went to the tool cabinet today to grab a screw driver for a quick fix to something and found this. Evidently she used it as a gardening tool and then put it back as is

Why is she using your screwdriver when a kitchen knife works perfectly well for that purpose?

When I took auto shop in high school, the first thing we were taught was the proper name for tools (we had to pass a written test and name fifty tools the teacher held up) 100% score was required. Next thing was to never hang up a tool on the tool board until it was cleaned. If the teacher found a dirty tool, the whole class came back after school and cleaned every tool in the shop. That only had to happen once. Let's just say you didn't want to be the guy who put the dirty tool there.

At least she put it back.......

I've had years of missing tools only to have them turn up in weird places or
transform into missiles from the lawn mower.....

Wife surprised me today... I was up a 70' tower and realized I needed a pair of vise-grips.

I radioed Yvonne (who was working the ground for me) and asked her if she knew what "vise-grip" pliers looked like. She radioed back: "locking pliers, with that screw adjust thing on one of the handles ?"

I immediately went:

Sounds like my shop teacher; former Vietnam vet and a really good guy.

Slight difference in protocol though. If you came to class stoned, you had to stay after to clean every tool and put it away.
I had my share of after school stays.

He really gave a shit about the kids though and helped a lot of us out along the way.

Another reason I'm happy I married the farmer's daughter. Mary knows the correct tool for most jobs ( she will admit she's completely lost in my machine shop )
