Gonna' be hotter'n hell's hinges here. High of 102. Heat Advisory and Red Flag Warnings abound.

A Heat Advisory has been issued by the National Weather Service starting Thursday that will extend through the weekend. Everyone who will be working outside is strongly encouraged to take the following steps for their protection:

• Drink about 6 ounces of water every 15 minutes, even if you're not thirsty; if you wait until you are thirsty, you could become more susceptible to heat stress
  
• Avoid caffeine and alcohol which contributes to dehydration
  
• If possible, wear light-colored clothing
  
• Take additional breaks (in the shade out of the sun) as necessary
  
• Watch out for the signs of heat stress for yourself and others that work around you.

just checking in.

headed to the shop shortly, to apply 2nd coat of poly to 5 sheets of 1/2" maple plywood (to be drawer bottoms later). also got 3/4" and 1/4" prefinished maple plywood this week. once i get the 1/2" ply finished and set aside, i can start building cabinets next week.

our 10th wedding anniv is next week too!!

hot and dry here, ugh.

Just one of THOSE days...it started when I woke up and it was pouring and I had the windows down and the back windows out of the soft top on the Tracker. The interior is still damp and its 93! Had a lot planned for today and one little kink and the whole day just spun out of control and plans got majorly changed

Got the registration on the '85, new battery, drained the gas (sat for 4 yrs) put new gas in...it cranks but not catching. New plugs and fuel filter going in...so hopefully I'll be taking my vette to Carlisle this year!!

That's kind of how the week went for me...but oh well. Its kind of funny in a sad kind of way .

haven't settled on a door or drawer front design yet, but that doesn't keep me from building the cabinets. no pix yet, just a pile of plywood in the shop.

i'll take some before, some during, and some after shots as we go along, and then post a kitchen thread down the road.

No rain here in over 3 weeks, and now it's been over 100º and sunny the past 2 days. Everything is dying.

Well I'm glad you're finally getting one of your cars out, they deteriorate just sitting. Sounds like it's electrical to me. Did you check for spark at the plugs? And that damn ethanol crap turns to jelly after sitting, so you might have to squirt some quickstart or gas into the injector intake.
Toe is getting there, slowly. Specialist on Tuesday.

Same here. 105 plus last two days and forecast is over 100 every day through at least Thursday with not a drop of rain

Possible tropical something developing off the coast of Texas. Might help with moving the High out and giving us rain/cooler weather sometime in the future.
