yes, for the most part. it's black and blue, can't walk and still feels like it's been run over by a freight train though

I can sympathize...Buzzy spooked and part of his hoof came down on my foot. Black and blue, nothing broken but hurt so bad for a couple of weeks.

Try to stay off it as much as possible and keep it elevated. I did ice compresses for first 24 hrs, then soaked it in the tub with hot water for a week and slept with it elevated.

What did the drs tell you to do?

Sprains can take longer to heal than breaks! When I busted mine I'd go up and down stairs on my butt. Sit on the stairs and go up one step at a time using your good leg and hands to push up. Same going down.

I hear you!!
They take a little bit to master and then I still avoided the stairs!
Whatever you did to your foot, you sure did it right!!

Hope it clears up for you soon!

That's how I did it too, after having to go upstairs out of necessity!
Its easy if you have 2 pairs of crutches; one set upstairs and one set downstairs.

All storms last week missed us. About 10 miles north and south got rain. Henryville got close to 3 inches of rain, but then they also had the biggest tornado and second biggest hail so far this year.

East Texas, only about 2 hrs from here, has been getting regular soakings, including when I was over there last weekend. So they should be in good shape. We surely don't want another drought this year.

As for all the other....I canNOT walk on crutches worth a darn. The first night after the doc told me do NOT put any weight on my foot, I darn near fell trying to use the crutches. Kevin caught me, thank goodness.

Heather...Just make the girls serve you as much as possible vs you getting up and moving around.

No, the Buzzy incident was years ago, but I do suffer from chronic tendinitis.
When the tendinitis flares up and its unbearable...I break out the crutches. Last time it was "mild" ; a wrap, some motrin and staying off it did the trick.
