For me, it was when I learned that kids could call child protective services on their parents for spanking them. I'm not sure of the year. Possibly late 70s early 80s.

What opened my eyes was seeing cops commit perjury in court. Wasn't hard to prove. Their own verbal testimony was at odds with the written report. They said what they knew was required to win the case and the judge ignored the lies. Probably because he slept through a majority of the trial.

I determined people would not support or defend a dishonorable system.
Rather they would work to destroy it and the end was only a matter of time

I witnessed this first-hand in the 1980s, as my brother threatened my parents with it on a regular basis, and they caved to him, so he grew up without boundaries. This is why he's an unemployed 41 year old living in Mom's house in a retirement community.

So yeah, that's about when I realized this world ain't getting any better anytime soon.

Of course, parents were unionized liberals, so no sympathy from me, for the mess they created.
